Hey there!
Been busy with writing, though I'm nowhere to being even close to done with the manuscript, I just hope this story is a shorty. Maybe a 200 page book or something, but anyways, I've been downloading a lot of free books off Amazon onto my kindle (most of them tips about writing) and I found a website for Writers Digest and I think it's one of the most helpful websites on the internet. I knew Writers Digest had a website, but I had NO idea how GREAT it is. Ya'll should check it out sometime because I found it very helpful!!!

Goddess Summoning Series ~ PC Cast
In my opinion, I absolutely loved the Goddess Summoning Series.
There's romance, adventure, humor and a little bit of horror.
My favorite of the series would be....
Goddess of the Rose and Goddess of the Sea
The first story I read was Goddess of the Sea.
Goddess of the Sea hooked me to the rest of the stories. It was a really a sensitive and magically entertaining love story. I truly enjoyed this book and perhaps it is because - maybe, deep down, I do believe in magic that I will recommend this to all of you who want to capture the magic of a truly magical love story.
Detra Fitch for Huntress Reviews says If you do not believe in magic, stay away from this novel. But for those of us who do believe, or want to be convinced that magic does exist, here is the novel for you! Written like a fairy tale for adults, this book is perfect to cuddle up with on long chilly nights or days you may be snowed in. It will whisk you away to a warm tropical island for wonderful light reading.
I completely agree with her!
Goddess of the Rose was sexy and alluring, adventurous and comical all at the same time. I love how PC Cast weaves old myths with new stories. She strung the Minotaur and Beauty and the Beast together to create Goddess of the Rose. I found the story to be a lovely way out from reality and I was sad when it ended. It's a romance so you know there will be a happy ending -- that's one of the charms -- but part of the fun in Cast's books is trying to figure out how she's going to resolve the impossible situation she set up and then enjoying her clever and logical solution. I especially like the spiritual undertones in her books, which in this case includes forgiveness and learning from mistakes, not to mention not judging by appearances.

Dandelion's Dream
The Dandelion's dream, floats in her white shrouds
along the angels breath, called to the clouds
tiny plumes fluttering proud
Each Dandelion's dream, grows more fair,
as the sun kisses her hair,
each one glowing in the dawn
The Dandelion's dream, where, in the days agone,
Bright hues were seen.Wild pinks turn green,
and Violets spirits fawn
In the Dandelion's dream,
a blue sky is spreading o'er, Dandelions in bloom here and there
like the stars thee kissed, dandelion's downy seeds dancing in the wind,
like the tiny plumes of the Dandelion's dream.

Childhood
During childhood, I had a rope swing on a great big Pepper tree that grew from the side of the steep hill my house was settled on and I would pull it to the edge of the hill, then jump on.
I would swing out over the hill and pretend I was flying. I especially loved to swing during the Spring and Summer when the apricot orchard below the hill would be in bloom. I'd imagine floating over the treetops and out into the green hills, drinking the clouds as they passed by, their taste, one I could never describe, for it was a different flavor for everyone.
Now, I go outside and sit besides that old tree for the rope swing has long broken and deemed unusable. I still look out over the orchard, though the trees have long died and been cleared away, but I imagine what it was like, during childhood, when I was free to fly through the sky, over the hills and to lands far away, drinking the clouds as they went by...

Shattered
Laura Cubus was perfectly content with her life. A junior in high school, she felt perfectly normal. She had good friends, a great family, and did well in school. Nothing particularly exciting ever happened where she lived, and everything was stable.
But that all drastically changes when a new student arrives at Laura's school. Wild rumours swirl about his past, and Laura becomes determined to find out the truth.
As she gets to know the mysterious student, he shares with her an ancient secret... one that may yet put both of them in grave danger.
And for the first time in her life, Laura is exposed to a completely unfamiliar world. She is swept away on an exhilarating journey that takes to a place where great destiny may yet await... and where supernatural powers run rampant.
One Event In My Childhood That Had The Greatest Effect On My Writing
My mother's death when I was four, caused me to start reading because it was a quiet activity that I could do by myself. When I discovered books, it was a whole new world that I could lose myself in and I soon decide I wanted to be able to give a child, a teenager or an adult a place to go when they had a rough day. To make a place that was magical, calming, emotional, or happy. (this inspired Cat Republic)
Witch-Fairy Series ~ Bonnie Lamer
True of Blood
"I have a television so I know what a family is supposed to look like but mine is nothing like that. To begin with, both my parents are dead. Not the kind of dead where you bury them in the ground, say some nice words, cry a lot and then never see them again. Nope, when they died they refused to ‘go into the light’ or whatever it is you’re supposed to do when you die. Instead, they came back home. As ghosts. Have you ever been sent to your room by a parent who has no corporeal form? I have and it sucks..."Who's My Hero
Finished my genetics report! Thank God!!
Now onto my PowerPoint for Computers App. My teacher is asking us to make a PowerPoint about who our hero is. I'd have to say my hero is J.K Rowling.
She is such an amazing writer and she led such a hard life in the beginning, and almost didn't get her book published because no publishers would except it!
My dream is to get at least half as well-known as her.
Who's your hero?
In 1995, Rowling finished her manuscript for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone on an old manual typewriter.[50] Upon the enthusiastic response of Bryony Evens, a reader who had been asked to review the book's first three chapters, the Fulham-based Christopher Little Literary Agents agreed to represent Rowling in her quest for a publisher. The book was submitted to twelve publishing houses, all of which rejected the manuscript.[40] A year later she was finally given the green light (and a £1500 advance) by editor Barry Cunningham from Bloomsbury, a small publishing house in London.[40][51] The decision to publish Rowling's book apparently owes much to Alice Newton, the eight-year-old daughter of Bloomsbury's chairman, who was given the first chapter to review by her father and immediately demanded the next. Here it is! My first blog ever, pretty cool...
I started this personal blog so I could talk about books that I've read and books that I am writing (and some on my personal life, mostly funny things that have happened to me). It's taking a lot of time and it's really difficult to get the right words on the pages, so I'm trying my best to make it sound good but also trying to make it continue on...
I have several books that I've been working on. I know, I know, I should be working on them ONE at a time and then move onto the next one, but it's so difficult b/c when my well of ideas run out for one story, my well of ideas for another floods and I get swept away by the possibilities!
My co-author (who at the moment I can not include in this post) and I have just finished writing a book in all notebooks! But now I have to type it from the notebook and onto a computer to print it out into the final manuscript. Ugh! that is going to take forever since I'm trying to balance Senior yr in high school, homework and my own book!
But, I'm sure I can do it. As long as I don't procrastinate. :)
