Dream Realms Trilogy ~ Sophia Sharp

Shattered is the first book of the Dream Realms Trilogy
Destined, the second book in the Dream Realms Trilogy
Graced, the third book in the Dream Realms Trilogy

Shattered
Laura Cubus was perfectly content with her life. A junior in high school, she felt perfectly normal. She had good friends, a great family, and did well in school. Nothing particularly exciting ever happened where she lived, and everything was stable.
But that all drastically changes when a new student arrives at Laura's school. Wild rumours swirl about his past, and Laura becomes determined to find out the truth.
As she gets to know the mysterious student, he shares with her an ancient secret... one that may yet put both of them in grave danger.
And for the first time in her life, Laura is exposed to a completely unfamiliar world. She is swept away on an exhilarating journey that takes to a place where great destiny may yet await... and where supernatural powers run rampant.

I loved this book. But, I admit, it didn't start out that way. The first little bit (maybe the first four or five chapters) were a bit slow to me, but when I got by them - everything just picked up like crazy. There was so much of everything in this book, from the start of a forbidden romance, to a thrilling race against the clock, to hints and peeks at the supernatural... everything that you could want and expect and MORE.
Her writing captivated me from the first page and continued to hold my interest until the very last page. I not only loved the book, but fell in love with the characters. The author's writing abilities take you into a wonderful world that you totally get lost in while taking the journey with Laura and Logan. You see and feel everything they see and experience. This will definitely be a book I will keep and read again and again.

I too looked at the author's page and was surprised to see that she was so young. Her writing held me spellbound like authors more than twice her age. I believe she has found her calling in life and has many wonderful books ahead of her. I know I will be waiting (probably impatiently heheh!) for the next book of this trilogy along with the other books she will write.
